Did everyone have a good weekend? B was travelling for work, so I binged the last four episodes of The Handmaids Tale. Do y’all watch that? Everyone was telling me how I just had to get caught up, but I wasn’t very impressed by the season finale. Maybe I’m missing something? Sunday, I met with Jaimie to take some outfit photos. Notice I’m wearing lipstick??!! Yea, I won’t be doing that again.
On another note, this kimono from Shein was only $24.00! I usually don’t go for long kimonos, I feel like they swallow my small frame, so I was surprised at how much I liked this one! Originally, I was going to have it hemmed to a knee length, and I’m glad I decided against that and just went for it! I don’t think I could pull it off with pants, though. The shorts and wedges help to break it up on petites (I’m 5′). A good rule of thumb I have with longer kimonos is that if I’m planning on wearing them with jeans, I have them hemmed to hit the bottom of my calf. It helps me to not look like I’m wearing a potato sack. Ha!
I was perusing the Internet this morning for some new arrivals and somehow managed to spend my weekly budget in its entirety at The Blue Door. So I suppose get ready for those outfits for the next few weeks. I did get mostly pieces that I can wear again when it cools down, so that makes me feel a little better. One skirt I got I’ll be hawk eyeing my mailbox for. It’s that good, y’all! I’ve been slowly trying to add a few edgier items (post here) to my wardrobe and this skirt definitely embodies that. Can’t wait for y’all to see all of my new goodies!
