Good morning y’all! How was everyones weekend? Hopefully, it was better than mine. I have a pinched nerve in my neck and can barely function. I went to work for a few hours on Saturday, but it hurt so bad it was making me sick to my stomach. I spent the rest of the day and all day Sunday laid up in the bed. I’m hoping the chiropractor can do something to at least make it manageable.
Let’s talk about the latest trend in denim: Cropped jeans. From mom jeans, boyfriend jeans, and girlfriend jeans, you should give them all a try and see what works for you. I did, and I finally found a winner, and I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to skinny jeans!
This cut is the most popular right now. They’re high wasted and provide a looser fit around the zipper area. I tried three pairs from three different brands, and they were all a no for me. I’m super short wasted, so I couldn’t wear this style. If you have hips and are longer wasted, give these a try. I’ve found that they look best on a body with a little more curve to it. My friend Brittany swears by her mom jeans. She’s 5’4” and built like a brick house.
Boyfriend jeans are another cut that I simply cannot wear. The name is pretty self-explanatory, they’re to look like you borrowed your boyfriends jeans. They’re really baggy, and they made me look like a 1990’s rapper. Maybe I’m just not cool enough to pull them off? To me, these look great on someone very tall and thin. My friend Haley can rock these better than any girl on Pinterest! She’s 5’7” and 120 pounds of smoking hot in this cut!
Winner, winner! Girlfriend jeans are very similar to boyfriend jeans, except they have a tighter fit. They’re typically fitted more through the zipper area down to the knee, then they get looser. Not quite a skinny fit, not quite a relaxed fit. A lot of brands call them “relaxed fit”, so if you see that, you’re looking at the wonderfulness that is the girlfriend jean. I’m wearing the trend in the photos above, and as I said, I don’t think I care to wear skinny jeans again. I’m 5′ tall and 132 pounds and built like a boy. If this is you, then these are for you!

Please, only use these sizing references as examples. These are merely suggestions on girls that I know. You should try all of these, and go with what you personally love!
