Good morning from Charleston! And cheers to my last post with long(ish) hair! I’ve been lagging behind on posting for a multitude of reasons, but I’ll get into that at a later date.
Yesterday, we went to Sullivan’s Island, and let me tell you, it was very different than any beach I’d ever been to. The sand was hard, the water wasn’t clear, and it was basically deserted. And I loved it! We always go to Destin or Gulf Shores, and the beaches there are beautiful, but always crazy packed. B had told me that I’d hate the Atlantic coast because of the hard, muddy type sand and darker waters, so much to my surprise, I felt the opposite. It was so much easier to walk in, and the constant breeze was amazing! My hat continued to fly off of my head, and it was a bitch to chase it down, but not sweating profusely was a dream! The downside to my Thursday? SPF 100 failed me and now I’m miserable. Y’all, the sunburn is the same from the Atlantic to the Gulf!
Today, we’re headed to the outlets to do some Visa damage. AC basically got an entirely new wardrobe in March and has already outgrown nearly everything we bought. I think I’m being punished for her slow growth her first ten years. She even wears the same size shoe as I do! I suppose if her feet stop growing now, she’ll be a very lucky lady in the future lol.
