The June Edit: Hair

Hair care can be tricky. Styling hair is trickier. I have very fine, limp hair, but a lot of it. I recently had about 6 inches cut off and it really helped to add volume. Through the years, I have tried dozens of products to add texture and volume to my hair, and these five products are my tried and true.

Sebastian Trilliant Heat Protector

I spray this on my hair before drying and brush it in. I’ve noticed a huge difference in the overall health of my hair since using this heat protector. It smells so good, too!

BB Full Form Mousse

I apply this to my roots before blow drying and then brush the excess down, It leaves your hair a bit stiff after drying, but will brush out unnoticeable. This is the only product I’ve found that keeps my hair from falling flat at the scalp.

MoroccanOil Frizz Control

A little bit goes a long way! I use one to two pumps, rub together in my palms, and distribute lightly over my entire head. It really helps tame frizz in this Alabama humidity!

Dry Bar Triple Sec

This is my not-so-hidden gem! I spray it religiously on every hair on my head, roots to ends. It helps add some grit and holds my curls all day long. For a few days to be exact. It’s also available in a travel size so you can sample it before purchasing a full size one. Trust me, you won’t know how you made it all of these years without it!

Sebastian Dry Clean Only

This is my favorite dry shampoo. It really helps me stretch my style out in between washes. It’s extremely strong, so don’t spray it in a closed space. Although, “Choked on dry shampoo” would make for a really funny ER admittance form.
