On Thursday (not quite the weekend, I know), I got my hair done. I tried a new salon and stylist because I’d heard such awesome things about her and I’m so glad I did! She did an amazing job and it’s exactly what I asked for. I mean, just look at the before! I had total horse hair (majorly neglected, no one’s fault but my own)! This before and after picture is from her Facebook. If you’re local, go see her!!! Lauren Ponder at Salon Rouge.
Friday (St. Patty’s Day) Downtown Gadsden, INC hosted its annual Pub Crawl. You started at Back Forty Beer Company and ended (13 stops later) at Harp & Clover. A bagpipe band (in kilts!) made their way through the streets and the bars/restaurants. It was so much fun, but they were definitely the highlight! Harp & Clover (best brunch!) had a live band playing in the street as well! I love that our little town orchestrates things like this!
Saturday was pretty uneventful, besides the fact that I was (still) totally torn between which pair of these I want. I mean, I want both, but I have no need for two of the same sneakers in different colors. Ugh #firstworldproblems
Sunday after church and Girlfriend Gala prep, I took my mini to her favorite store to shop for her favorite thing…books!!! I have no idea how I got so blessed to have a child so into reading and the arts. I was always into sports and my social life but she couldn’t be more opposite. She loves reading, the theater and learning about different cultures. She blows me away every day!
