Good afternoon ladies (and gentlemen?)! I’m running a day and a half behind schedule here at Bottle No. 5, and if you know me personally, running behind on anything ruins my entire day. Between 50 hour work weeks, AC’s multiple Fall activities and gearing up for the GSG Rummage Sale, this girl needs a glass of red, a nap, and a girls night around a fire pit!
Now that I got that off my chest, let’s talk about my new favorite online shopping destination Madewell. I’ve bought a few of their layering tees and scarves, but I’ve always ordered them from Nordstrom. I ordered this colorblock sweater from the Madewell site, and 3 days later it was at my doorstep! I was blown away at how quickly it shipped.
If you sign up to be a Madewell Insider (it’s FREE!), then you get free standard shipping and free returns. It’s also a loyalty program, so the more you spend the greater the perks. You can read all about the program here. It was a no brainer for me. I give you my email address and you give me free shipping and free returns? SOLD!
I’m one of those that refuses to pay shipping though. I’ll literally buy something I don’t even need if it will get my total high enough to qualify for free shipping. Free returns are a different ballgame though. I didn’t think any company offered that except Nordstrom, so I was elated when I realized that Madewell did, too! I suppose I understand a bit more on charging for returns, but a company charged me for an exchange once and I was livid! Needless to say, I haven’t purchased from them again.
Another great thing about Madewell is that they almost always have a discount code going. If it isn’t in their site header, you can Google “Madewell Discount Code” and usually find one. That’s how I scored 30% off the sweater I’m wearing above!
Free shipping, 30% off, and I received my order in 3 days. If that doesn’t make for a happy online shopper, I don’t know what will.
