Welcome to my new series| category: For Now & Later! I’d love to tell you it’s groundbreaking, but the concept itself is not. I see so many posts that talk about “transitioning”, and I really just wanted to not use that word, ‘ya know?
Backstory
I’d been trying my damnedest to create a fun new series|category on here. I knew what I wanted to say, just not what to call it. AC and I were in the convenience store a week or so ago and she wanted some candy. She loves Airheads, but Now & Later’s were under them and she asked for those. I responded without hesitation, “No. They’ll yank your teeth out”. I mean, that’s what my mom always said to me ha. Felt like second nature, right? Anyway, she persisted until I said “Fine, whatever”. We were there for wine and Kit-Kat bites and I didn’t have the patience to argue. The Mississippi pot roast in the crock pot at home was calling my name. When we got in the car, like any child, they just had to be opened right then, and that’s when it dawned on me: Now & Later.
What makes this sweater the perfect candidate for now & later are the bright colors. You can wear it now with jeans as I did, and later with cut offs and sandals. I talk about the finicky Alabama weather all the time, and the best way to combat the urge to shed your winter layers is with brightly colored sweaters. It tends to be too chilly for spring clothing until mid-April, and bright colors or pastels always help me shake the drab winter clothing.
You can find access to this post and all future For Now & Later posts in my drop down menu titled “topics”.
