Good morning everyone! How was your weekend? AC and I met some friends for “A Walk Through Time” yesterday and we loved it! It’s at Forrest Cemetery and they had different people dressed as different characters of early Gadsden society. The stories were so interesting and we learned a lot of really neat things that we didn’t know! If you’re local, I highly recommend going next year.
The cemetery is only a couple of blocks from my old high school, so I took AC to see it. She was so excited! I got a little nostalgic because they still had the tiger paws on the sidewalk. It’s funny, you can’t wait to graduate and be an adult, then you wish you could go back and just be a kid! I know I do anyway, adulting is hard!
What’s not been hard is purchasing this sweater in every color for the last two years, though. It’s so basic, but the circle hem and 3/4 sleeve really helps elevate it a bit. It was only 71 degrees when we shot this look, so layering wasn’t necessary, but the circle hem and 3/4 sleeve make this sweater perfect for layering in the cooler weeks to come.
I had originally planned to wear it with my Spanx faux leather leggings and my leopard booties (similar here), and I’ll probably style it that way in the future, but decided to pair it with denim and white booties (similar here). I think the white really make the color of the sweater pop and I’ve been obsessed with jewel tones lately, so I really wanted the color to stand out.
I’ve had a couple people message me about being nervous to buy white booties. Here are a couple different ways I’ve styled them:
Have y’all ever loved something so much that you buy it in every color?
