Let’s chat Chenille sweaters. I have a confession: I’ve never been a fan. I just think the material screams I was a 90’s kid! I loved the colors of this striped Chenille sweater, and against my better judgement, I ordered it. And I’m so glad I did.
I’ll be honest, I needed $40.00 more dollars to be able to use my coupon, so I carted this sweater. As I said, I loved the colors, but hate the way Chenille looks! And because I know you all wake up every morning hanging off the edge of the bed for my opinion and review, here ‘ya go…
I think I’ve jumped on the Chenille bandwagon! Y’all, this sweater is so unbelievably soft. It was mid 60’s when we shot this look, and I was surprised at how comfortable it was. I get hot easily and worried I’d be drenched in sweat but I wasn’t at all. The next morning it was in the 40’s and I threw it on with sweats to take AC to school and it kept me warm. I have no idea how it’s temperature controlled lol.
Moving along to why I love Express. At Fall carnival the other night, my friend asked my about my cheetah print slides (currently sold out, last styled here, similar hereĀ and here). When I told her they were Express, she made a comment that she’d noticed I’d been wearing a lot of Express items lately and that she hadn’t shopped there since high school. I started thinking about it and realized that I hadn’t either until this past year.
So I’ll tell y’all what I told her. There is always some type of sale or promotion going on. Usually 40% off or BOGO 50% off. When you create an account, you earn points for shopping with them and get a chance to earn more by linking your various social accounts, etc. I suggest signing up for the SMS notifications and you’ll get a text when they’re having a promotion.
Once I realized I was spending quite a bit with them, I eventually opted in for their credit card so that I could earn extra points and perks (they send you awesome coupons each month!). Credit cards aren’t for everyone, especially store credit cards, but I’ve been happy with theirs because of the perks. I pay it off each billing cycle so I tell myself it’s my Express debit card haha.
Do y’all have any brands that you’ve taken to again after not shopping with them for a while?
