Cheers to Friday, y’all! Hopefully y’all have a big weekend planned. Friday’s and Saturday’s are actually my longest workdays of the week, so my weekends are Sunday and Monday, which I’ve grown to like. The sheet rock company started on the Shoffett yesterday and will be finished by Saturday, so I plan to spend my two days painting. I’ve waited a year for walls, so now I’m devoting all of my spare time to getting her ready for use!
Moving on to this outfit, how cute and colorful is this kimono?! Ironically, it’s called “pool to party”, and I find that very fitting. We leave for the beach on the 30th and I’ll definitely be packing this. I think it will look great over my navy gingham swimsuit or with my cut- off’s for diner. Also, with the proper undergarment, it can easily be belted and worn as a dress. I love when you find a garment as versatile as that, don’t y’all?
Does anyone else have a family beach vacation planned? We go every year with my best friend and her family and it’s so much more fun than going just us. The guys fish and chat, the kids all play together, and Kinzie and I get to relax in the sun and have lots of girl talk. Everyone wins! Last year, we went just us three, and honestly, none of us care to do that again. Poor AC was so bored because she’d been so spoiled having playmates in the sand. I think they’re still a little too young to invite a friend along, so this works the best for us.
I dunno, it just makes me nervous being responsible for someone else’s child six hours away from home in water. Y’all feel me, or am I crazy? I’m a bit of a helicopter mom when it comes to water and it would send me into a frenzy if I had more than one I had to hawk eye lol.
Before I go, I finally gave in Monday night and ordered a bunch of clothing off of Amazon. I know, I know, how groundbreaking. I feel like every blogger in the world is pushing Amazon Fashion down your throat. I’ve never ordered any clothing from there, so I’m interested to see the true quality. Honestly though, it was so budget friendly, I suppose I can’t complain about it if it’s sub-par. I think it’s kind of like shopping H & M, Forever 21, or Shein. Very on trend, but more unlikely to make you lose your shit when your man friend destroys it in the wash. Am I right?!? Ha.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
