Good morning y’all! Who’s ready for Easter weekend? I know we’re egg hunted out! I think I may host an adult egg hunt next year and put mini’s in them ha. You know, to help recover from being surrounded by screaming, running children. Bottoms up, y’all!
April has been a slow month on the blog, I have so many outfits I haven’t shared yet. Hopefully, we’ll get back to regularly scheduled programming soon. Did y’all catch Wednesday’s beauty review post? It’s not something I usually write about, but I tried. If you didn’t, give it a read and let me know if you’d like me to post more beauty or not!
I don’t know if any of you are as obsessed with Free People as I am, but I saw this smocked mini on their site and ordered it without hesitation. It’s probably my favorite piece of theirs that I own! It’s a lot sheerer than I thought, I had to add this Spanx bodysuit under it. Once I did that, it was perfect. If you don’t want to spend the money on Spanx, I also own these that are half the price! The Spanx are my favorite, but just for layering under a sheer piece, the more affordable ones work fine.
I wish we’d have got a shot of the back of this dress without the jean jacket! It has a scoop back with tassel tie and is so cute. This mini can also double as a swim coverup because it’s so lightweight. I plan on taking it to Charleston with me next month and using it as a day dress and a swimsuit coverup. Free People is a bit of a pricier brand (for me anyway), so I like to be able to wear their pieces as much as I can. I will say though, I’ve never regretted a purchase I’ve made with them. They’re all high quality, long lasting pieces that I’ve continued to wear year after year. I just find the items they make so easy to wear and style!
AC has a “glamping” birthday party to attend tonight. Let’s all join forces and say a little prayer that she doesn’t sneak and call for a ride. Homegirl doesn’t camp. I haven’t told her yet that it’s going to rain and that the camper doesn’t have wifi, either. #momoftheyear
I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!
