I got an email today from a reader (my first one!). It read; “I like that you aren’t covered in labels, yet your outfits look just as good”.
Let me assess this. I am a HUGE supporter of “shopping local”. I’m not saying I don’t travel out of town to shop, I clearly do. BUT, I ALWAYS check out locally owned boutiques before I do. If you shop local, the money stays in your community. Those shop owners work their tails off and sacrifice a lot to open their store doors everyday.
With that being said, I need to take a moment to brag about my favorite local boutique, Laural E. It’s my first (local) destination because I’ve never went in and came out empty handed. I feel like the merchandise she carries comes closest to my personal style. A little edgier, more trendy, yet classic and feminine, without the whole “boutique-y” look.
This dress. A sweater up top, vegan leather down low? PERFECT! I must admit though, if you aren’t built like me, 5′ tall and not a curve to your name, this is a tunic. One of the few perks of being the size and shape of a 12 year old prepubescent girl.
