Spring Transition Outfit: The Embroidered Top

H & M Embroidered Top|Express Belt|Steve Madden “Naomi” Booties|Old Navy “Rockstar” Jeans

This H & M embroidered top is perfect for Spring. I love how the sleeves are different, that’s what makes me love it so much! It’s a little sheer, but instead of an undershirt I just wore a bralette. It being so thin is what makes it perfect for the weather right now, because as soon as Alabama consistently averages temperatures in the 60’s the humidity makes it unbearable to wear any kind of sleeve at all really.

As often as I wear white denim you’d think I’d have invested in a designer pair by now, and I plan to, but these Old Navy ones have held up great for the couple of years I’ve had them. They’re under $40.00 (which is crazy cheap for denim) and thick enough that you can’t see through them. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that I wish they were a bit more stretchy. They don’t stretch AT ALL. Most would say that’s a positive but to me some stretch is necessary for comfort. No way I could road trip in these without stripping them off an hour in.

This belt from Express is a great “Get The Look” option for the designer logo belts that are so popular right now. In fact, I like it better. I’m not a huge fan of logo’s which is why I personally prefer this one. I bought it to belt an oversized Free People top had no idea how much I would wear it. It’s under $40.00 and comes in black as well.

The Steve Madden booties I’m wearing I bought in early Fall. I’m wearing the Blush colored ones which appear to be sold out now. The Black and Taupe are still in stock though. They’re really comfortable so I wear them a lot if I’m going somewhere I know I’ll be on my feet a lot.

When we dive a little deeper into Spring, I plan on wearing this top with cutoff’s. These from American Eagle are affordable and super cute on (size down one size). I have these One Teaspoon ones as well and love them, but they’re pricy. DIY tip: I cut off some old Joe’s Jeans I’d had since college that weren’t really fit for public anymore (see post here) they’re probably my favorite of the three:)
