Cheers to the weekend! That doesn’t mean much for me, I work weekends but cheers to you if you don’t! I saw these embroidered slides a couple months ago and loved them because of how colorful they are. I’ve never been much of a flats girl and I’ve never purchased slides before. When they were delivered, I had planned to send them back. The pointy toe felt odd to me and I thought they made my feet look huge on my tiny 5′ frame.

I decided to give them a whirl and style them before returning and I’m glad I did. I love the way they look with the blue Piko top. With such a punchy shoe it’s always best to keep everything else simple.

If you haven’t tried Piko tops you’re really missing out. They are the softest and a great basic to have. I have white, red, crimson, olive, pink and blue and I wear them constantly in Spring and Fall. You can see the pink short sleeve version in this post. They have dresses that I love as well, same material and fit as their tops.

This is the same Express belt I first talked about in this post and I wasn’t kidding when I said I literally wear it with everything. They also have it in black, but oddly enough, I don’t wear a lot of black.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and a fun and safe St. Patty’s Day! Gadsden is having a pub crawl Saturday, but I’ll be working it. Sigh.
