Charlotte, NC: Day 1

On our first day in Charlotte, we went to the South Park mall. It’s a huge mall with pretty much any store you can think of. AC was most excited about the American Girl store and I went for Louis Vuitton🙂 She had the best time at AG, and I never went in LV:( I’m not going to lie, the part I looked forward to the most on this trip was going to LV to buy the Neverfull GM that I’ve saved for MONTHS for, but I just couldn’t pull the trigger:( I’ve wanted one for years and thought that it would be more special if I saved and purchased it for myself, but when it finally came time, I decided I’d rather have those dollars in my savings account than on my arm. I will have one eventually, though! That just wasn’t the time.

While waiting on AC’s doll’s hair appointment at AG we went to Nordstrom. I’ll admit this was my first time in one because our closest one is over two hours away so I always shop online (which I prefer online shopping anyway).

AC had “the best day of her life”. She shopped, ate at the AG bistro and had her doll’s hair done at the salon. I was probably as excited as her just seeing her excitement!

For breakfast, mom took us to this restaurant called Skyland that she frequents (daily! ha) and my first bite in I knew why! The food is amazing and the service is top notch as well! They really make you feel like family, your food is served quickly and the prices are unbeatable! I highly recommend going here!

When we left South Park mall we went across town to the South End district for a little more shopping and to grab some dinner. I got the cutest dress from Free People and some dishtowels from Anthropologie. If you’ve followed this blog or my social channels for a while, it’s pretty clear that these two stores are my favorite!

After shopping, we opted for an early dinner at Sullivan’s, but they weren’t open yet, so we made a reservation for the next night and walked across to Luciano’s. A few things about Luciano’s: Beautiful place, great service, and the largest flatbread I’ve ever seen (pictured above). The food was good, but it wasn’t amazing. For the price I guess I just expected a wow, ‘ya know? Overall, I’d go back but it wouldn’t be at the top of my list.
