Quite a few things I want to chat about before heading into the weekend. First being this too cute floral balloon sleeve blouse, second being these skinnies!

This balloon sleeve blouse is perfect for us petite girls. It’s a shorter length (NOT cropped) and the elastic waist hits at the very bottom of my belt loops. I find that to be key in cinch waisted tops, as it helps them to not be too bulky on small frames. Another thing I love is that it pairs well with denim cutoff’s (these are my fav! Worth the splurge!) for a pre-Fall look, or white denim for a great Spring look. It’s $42.00, fits TTS, and is fully stocked in sizes Small-Large.

On to my skinny jeans (remember this post?). It’s nothing new that the hardest thing for petite girls to shop for are jeans. To be honest, I’d rather hit up a buffet before trying on swimwear as opposed to shopping for jeans! Designer jeans don’t come in petite sizes, so it’s near impossible to find a pair that fit. Flares are no problem, as you can have them hemmed and they’re fine, but skinnies are another story. Having them hemmed almost always never works out because they don’t hit on the calf where they should. I can’t begin to tell you how many pair of denim I’ve ruined hemming them!

Allow me to introduce you to my little short girl hack: cropped skinnies. These Joe’s Jeans cropped skinnies hit at my ankle and still work perfectly. Yes, it’s no longer a “cropped denim”, but they still fit exactly as they should on every part of the leg, which is key. This particular pair are only available in a 24 ($55.98), but I personally own the Icon cut below and they fit the same.

Anyone have any big weekend plans? It’s the final three shows for The Miracle Worker, so we’ll be at the theatre all weekend. I foresee a few White Claw’s in my future come Sunday night! Whew, it’s been fun, but this momma needs a little R & R.
