2017 #Nsale | What I Purchased + Review

American Atelier  Stemless Wine Glasses • $25.90 Stemless wine glasses are my favorite and I love the gold around the bottom. I throw a “Friendsgiving” dinner party every year and I’m excited to use these this year instead of my regular ones. Fun fact: This is the first set of nice wine glasses I’ve ever purchased. I’ve always bought the cheap-o’s and (insert laughing crying emoji) when these came in I felt like I aced “adulting”.
Rizzy Home Cable Knit Cotton Throw • $38.90 I purchased this in “Blue Surf” for our bedroom to add a little color. It’s really cozy, but since it’s Alabama it won’t be anything more than decor until December.
Benefit Sizzlin’ Six Mini Best-Sellers Set • $29 I have and love the Hoola Bronzer and Dandelion Highlighter (I use these two now in place of my Anastasia Contour Kit) and had been wanting to try the “That Gal” primer and High Beam highlighter (just those two are $55.00!), so for $29.00, I couldn’t resist!
Oribe Gold Lust Set • $39 Another product I’d been wanting to try is Oribe, but always cringe at the price point. Everyone raves about it, but you can’t really tell what’s authentic anymore unless you can step in someones home and see what they actually use on a daily basis. Since that’s not possible, thank God for sales and sample sizes!
Sole Society ‘Susan’ Winged Faux Leather Tote • $66.95 I bought this in black and am returning it. It’s great quality, the inside leopard print is adorable, but unfortunately, it’s bigger than I am. And I’m avid carrier of oversized bags if that tells you anything. I thought about keeping it because I can fit my laptop, planner, make-up bag and seven pairs of shoes in it, but I have the Tory Burch York tote for that, and that suitcase bag works my nerves enough on its own.
Treasure & Bond Merrick Perforated Sneaker • $66.90 Months ago, I almost bought the Dolce Vita “Zabra” sneakers and decided to wait because I wouldn’t wear them until the Fall anyway. I like these equally as much, and for nearly half the price it was a no brainer. Added bonus: Nordstrom donates 2.5% of Treasure and Bond sales to organizations that empower women and youth. Now that is something I can get behind! Truth be told, I’ll probably still buy the Dolce Vita’s! Sizing: Both fit TTS
Zella Autumn High Waist Moto Ankle Leggings • $49.90 I can’t say enough good things about Zella. They’re my favorite legging! I’d always bought leggings from boutiques and ended up having to purchase 3-4 per year because of them wearing out so quickly. The price point is high for leggings, but I’ve had the same pair for over a year and they still look as good as the day I bought them! If you wear them as much as I do, it’s totally worth the investment! I also bought these as well!
Free People Split Back Turtleneck • $44.90 It’s no secret Free People is my favorite brand and this sweater didn’t disappoint. I’m not a fan of turtlenecks, but I made an exception after trying this on. I purchased it in red, which I’m also not a fan of, but it’s more of a burnt brick color and I love it! The split back (which they don’t show on the website) is minimal enough you can wear a cami underneath and it not look odd, which I appreciate. It also has a slightly more relaxed fit without being bulky and that alone makes me swoon.
Kut From The Kloth Donna Skinny Jeans • $59.90 This was my first purchase from this brand and they are great! Super soft, stretchy, TTS and fit great everywhere except the knees. I’m taking them to my tailor to see if this can be fixed. I could possibly size down and the knees would be better but I feel like that would make them a little on the tight size. I’m built odd so it’s very possible that the fit is just awkward on me, as they’ve gotten great reviews!
Paige Hoxton High Waist Skinny Jeans • $99.90 I purchased my first pair of Paige jeans about 6 years and 30 pounds ago and I loved them. They are listed as being TTS so I ordered my regular size and, unfortunately, this is not the case. It took a lot of man power to get these on and zipped. My advise is to go up at least one size, if not two. I’m returning them, and currently, they are sold out in the size I need.
Sanctuary ‘Peace Trooper’ Crop Cargo Pants • $66.33 Keeping these, but they don’t fit as well as anticipated. I can’t speak on sizing really, as they’re the first piece I’ve purchased from this brand. They’re a little tight in the waist and thighs, but not enough to go up a size, as then they’d be too big. If I were to loose 5 pounds I feel like they’d fit great. All in all, I think the sizing is off a bit, but keep in mind that those 2 areas are where I gain weight first, so it’s probably just my body type. The brand itself gets great reviews. Side note: They’re not part of the #NSale, but are 33% off right now.
Dl1961 ‘Crux’ Instasculpt Skinny Jeans • $99.90 I purchased my first pair of Dl1961 a couple years ago (blog post here) and they’ve since became my favorite! I call them my pajama jeans! They fit great (TTS) and honestly, they get better with every wash! They’re stretchy, but don’t lose their shape during wear, which so many brands do. No one wants to pull and tug all day to avoid looking like a plumber or like you’re wearing an adult diaper. (FYI: The only reason I bought a new pair is because I’ve gained weight and my others look like leggings on me now but are still in perfect shape two years later. Worth. The. Investment.)
A few things I purchased not pictured above:
Caslon Cotton Tunic in Pink Smoke, $45.90 I have a ton of Caslon sweaters and they never disappoint! Great fit and quality. The cutest thing about this sweater is the side zippers that I didn’t even notice until it arrived. Looks great with leggings and jeans. It’s a keeper!
Dreamers Rib Knit Cardigan in Ivory, $35.90 Another brand I purchased for the first time and will do so again. If it restocks I’m going to order the grey, too!
B.P. Multi Stripe Scarf, $15.90 I usually don’t wear scarves because I feel like they swallow me whole and make me look like Uncle Fester (I have a short neck), but I ordered this one because I loved the soft neutrals. Luckily, it’s not too bulky and I’m excited to keep it!
